Downtown LA at first glance can seem dull, since it’s the central business district of Los Angeles. But it features some of the coolest arts institutions, sports facilities, bars, and fun that you could ever want. Easily accessible due to the multiple freeways that run near and thru it, Downtown LA is the hub for the city’s public transport system, including the LA Metro and Metrolink. Hate driving? Don’t want to wait for the subway? Bike! Downtown LA is very bike-accessible, especially after the bike lanes were painted a bright, neon green for increased visibility. With the historic core being revitalized, including updates some of the city’s oldest restaurants, and modern lofts popping up left and right, Downtown Los Angeles has shown the 21st century that it can move with the times, and even be cutting edge.
