Continued Gains in the Southern California Housing Market
Southern California continued to make big gains in housing prices through August, with more expensive properties selling at a higher rate. Home prices hit their highest level in seven years with buying activity remaining at a steady pace for higher priced properties. This is consistently good news for the buyer and seller in the Southern California housing market. DataQuick President John Walsh said, “There’s something for everyone in today’s housing data. Sellers have seen an amazing price jump from just a year ago, allowing many to finally sell at a profit. Home shoppers have more properties to choose as we begin to see a ‘supply response’ to higher values.” It’s a smart time to call the LA Home Girl and set up a meeting to discuss your home buying future.
